New MOM 2005 add-on Monitors Security at Microsoft Management Summit

Microsoft to use Secure Vantage Technology to seek out CommNet misuse

San Diego, CA —April 25, 2006 — Today Secure Vantage Technologies announces that it has been selected to provide its new System Controls Management Pack (SCMP) for Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 (MOM) as an integral part of the main CommNet at the Microsoft Management Summit 2006 (MMS) to be held this week in San Diego, CA. CommNet is the central network used by Microsoft to handle all its onsite communications needs at conferences throughout the US, including attendees’ registration, web access, email, agendas and online session collateral.

Secure Vantage Technologies’ System Controls Management Pack (SCMP) adds security auditing and reporting functionality to extend Microsoft Operations Manager 2005.  At MMS 2006, it will provide extended visibility into the security of the CommNet environment, notifying CommNet operators of key audit scenarios including Admin Group Membership Changes, Policy Changes, Multiple Logon Failures and many more.
