Secure Vantage Technologies extends solutions with UWS Event Encyclopedia

BERTHOUD, CO .- 1/17/2006 - On January 5th 2006 Secure Vantage Technologies and Monterey Technology Group signed an agreement that allows Secure Vantage to leverage proprietary documentation developed by Randy Franklin Smith in existing and future security solutions. This deal is specific to the Security Log Encyclopedia available at www.UltimateWindowsSecurity.com The online content provides detailed information for Windows Server Security Events offering general guidance, sample events and links to relevant materials available at UWS. This agreement represents the first steps towards incorporating authoritative security references into Secure Vantage products.

The System Controls Management Pack (SCMP) for MOM 2005 will be the first tool to incorporate content from the Event Encyclopedia, leveraging the content to support Security Control Rules provided in the solution. The SCMP provides auditing and reporting services for Windows Server Security events and supports both administrative and auditing operations. The SCMP enables detailed event collection with parameter extraction, pre-defined controls to address scenarios like administrative account membership changes, over 50 operational views, auditing tasks and comprehensive reporting services. Leveraging the MOM 2005 infrastructure this solution greatly improves security operations and supports regulatory auditing requirements for SOX, FISMA, GLBA and others in relation to Windows Server Security.

Secure Vantage Technologies plans on delivering a series of MOM 2005 solutions during Q1 and Q2 of 2006 and is working closely with Microsoft to provide the next generation of security solutions built on MOMv3 leveraging ACS (Audit Collection Service) data to be delivered late 2006 early 2007. While the company was recently formed in November the existing SCMP solution has been on the market for over 6 months and has had continued growth and success at an international level.
