SVT Security Monitoring for Microsoft SQL Server
HOUSTON/AUSTIN, TX — Secure Vantage Technologies (SVT) announces SVT Security Monitoring for Microsoft SQL Server. This new product enables Microsoft System Center Operations Manager customers to extend their existing deployment to include monitoring and alerting on modifications to Microsoft SQL Server security state. Once monitored, SQL server state changes will generate alerts which allow database administrators and operations personnel to be aware of any changes. These changes should then be compared to change control requests to ensure only valid modifications are being made in the environment. With SVT Security Monitoring for Microsoft SQL Server, users can:
- Ensure that critical business data remains confidential and that only those who are supposed to have access actually do have access.
- Increase visibility into database changes that might present a security exposure or impact your compliance posture.
- Identify and quickly investigate sensitive database activity that puts the integrity of your data or the availability of the database in jeopardy.

Alerts are generated and appear in the System Center Operations Manager console where existing notification groups and incident management procedures can be followed. This extends the security of SQL Server by ensuring once the system is secured to standards that the system will remain in compliance with these standards.
