New solution provides graphical console for System Center Operations
Manager2007 Audit Collection Service and centralizes auditing of Windows and
Unix events
LONGMONT, Colo. – April 29, 2008 – Secure Vantage Technologies, a
Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, continues to extend solution offerings for
Microsoft System Center Operations Manager Audit Collection Services (ACS) with
the Audit Collection Admin and Audit Collection Syslog Gateway solutions. Built on Microsoft System Center
technology, these new security auditing solutions simplify administration and
ability to trace security issues in Windows-based and heterogeneous enterprises.
Secure Vantage Technologies Audit Collection Admin adds a graphical user
interface to ACS, eliminating the need to administer ACS through command prompts
and manual registry edits. The tool includes console administration for the
general management and viewing of ACS configuration and health.
In addition to improved administration, customers can use Secure Vantage
Technologies Audit Collection Syslog Gateway to forward syslog events into ACS
for centralized alerting, archiving and reporting. For the first time
enterprises can use System Center to centralize security analysis across Windows
and Unix systems in the data center.
"Our customers and partners told us they needed an easier way to manage ACS
configurations that included integration of their Unix logs too," explained Ryan
Brennan, Chief Technical Officer at Secure Vantage. "Our goal with these
products is to provide solutions that simplify administration and extend the
power of ACS auditing to Windows-based and non-Windows-based devices alike."
"Microsoft is committed to extending the end-to-end management capabilities of
System Center to support cross-platform environments," said Larry Orecklin,
general manager of System Center Marketing at Microsoft Corp. "We are pleased to
offer cross-platform support, which is further extended by Secure Vantage’s new
Audit Collection Syslog Gateway to provide centralized security management and
auditing for our mutual customers with the Secure Vantage Compliance Security
Suite."
"Secure Vantage is constantly providing
us new ways to reduce administrative overhead and labor costs associated with
our security auditing programs. The new Audit Collection Admin and Syslog
Gateway provide us two key solutions that continue to optimize our investment in
System Center." said James Waldridge, Sr. IT Engineer at eTrade Financial
